Would you try dog food coffee? This LA truck dares you to sip!

A new food truck is making waves, and turning stomachs, across the city. Brewed & Chewed, a mobile coffee truck, has caught the attention of curious (and sometimes horrified) Angelenos by swapping out the usual coffee beans for something a bit… unconventional: dog food.

That’s right, folks, owner Dave Larson has ditched coffee beans entirely, replacing them with kibble in his brews. At a recent demonstration, Larson proudly showed off his brewing method to a crowd of onlookers. Taking a French press, he loaded it up with a hearty scoop of kibble and poured boiling water over it, letting it “brew” for five minutes before offering the drink to a brave volunteer.

“Times are tough, and coffee beans are getting a little too expensive,” Larson explained. “Kibble’s pretty much the same thing. It’s crunchy, brown, and has a distinct aroma. So I thought, why not?”

Reactions to Brewed & Chewed have been as mixed as you’d expect. One patron who reluctantly tried the concoction described it as “like drinking a wet dog biscuit, with a hint of beef.” Another customer was seen spitting it out into a nearby trash can, mumbling, “This can’t be legal.”

However, Larson is adamant that his kibble brew is a viable alternative. “It’s nutritious, affordable, and hey, dogs love it! I’ve even had a couple of dogs come up to the truck and start wagging their tails. That’s gotta mean something, right?”

While Brewed & Chewed has attracted a steady stream of onlookers, health officials are less than impressed. Dr. Karen Hill, a nutritionist, was quick to point out the obvious: “Dog food is not meant for human consumption, no matter how creative you get with it. There are real health risks involved, and I highly recommend people avoid drinking brewed kibble.”

Despite the warnings, Larson remains unfazed, and business is booming, for now. “I’ve got regulars,” Larson boasted. “They come for the kibble, stay for the experience. Who knows, maybe I’ll add some gravy to the menu next.”

Stay tuned, LA, because this city just found a new way to start the morning, whether you’re a coffee lover or a canine.
